1. REGIONAL VETERINARY OFFICER (Disease Control) ( x 9 positions )
Job Duties & Responsibilities
@Reports to the CDVS
@Co-ordinate disease, research, data collection, analyzes and write Technical Disease and Pest Reports.
@Undertake Disease Control activities such as disease surveillance, route inspection, sample collection & dispatch, vaccinations and enforce livestock movement regulations.
@Supervise A.I service & drug outlets
@Supervise all  inspection services.
@Collaborate with stakeholders in veterinary extension.
@Compile comprehensive veterinary monthly reports
@Undertake investigation of referral cases in the District
  
 Requirements
@Bachelor of veterinary medicine from a recognized institution
@At least six months experience in the field
@Knowledge  in computer applications.
@Ability to drive a car

Salary:  TShs.  926,000 before all legal deductions

2. DISTRICT VETERINARY OFFICER (Disease Control) ( 36 positions)
Job Duties & Responsibilities
@Reports to the CDVS
@Co-ordinate disease, research, data collection, analyzes and write Technical Disease and Pest Reports.
@Undertake Disease Control activities such as disease surveillance, route inspection, sample collection & dispatch, vaccinations and enforce livestock movement regulations.
@Supervise A.I service & drug outlets
@Supervise all  inspection services.
@Collaborate with stakeholders in veterinary extension.
@Compile comprehensive veterinary monthly reports
@Undertake investigation of referral cases in the District

Requirements
@Diploma of veterinary medicine from a recognized institution
@At least six months experience in the field
@Knowledge  in computer applications.
@Ability to drive a Motorbike or ready and flexible to train

Salary:  TShs. 626,000 before all legal deductionsProvisions: you will be given the following items/services:

3. WARD ANIMAL HEALTH OFFICER ( x  96 positions )
Job Duties & Responsibilities
@In charge of all veterinary and livestock production activities at the ward level.
@Participate in vaccinations and implementation of livestock projects and programmes in the ward;
@Collect and write reports on breeding, dipping, disease outbreaks, slaughter house kill and condemnations.
@Promoting collaboration in the implementation of projects and programmes in the ward;
@Capacity building and backstopping on community mobilization and in area of specialization;
@Promoting consultative forum with various stakeholders and collaborators within the Ward;
@Increase output of livestock and livestock products through improved efficiency in the management of livestock production systems.
@Promote investment in value addition and marketing of livestock product and by-product;
@Organizing field days, demonstrations, shows, exhibitions and farmer tours;
@Preparing and implementing ward work plans budgets; and
@Establishment and management of information desks in the ward; 
@Preparation of periodic reports for the ward.

Requirements
@An Advanced Certificate or a  
@Diploma with at least six months experience in any of the following disciplines: Animal production/animal science/Dairy production, animal health or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
@Computer literacy
@Ability to ride a motorbike or ready to learn
